The Really Helpful Marketing Company was founded in 2009 as an independent practice dedicated to helping businesses of all sizes get more from their marketing budgets.

Which means we can provide exactly the right expertise for the job, whilst keeping our overheads low. So you don’t have to pay the earth to get the highest quality creativity.
We never forget that it’s our job to provide you with great advice, and because we’re independent we’re also completely media neutral – and therefore entirely objective.
It’s an approach that also makes us incredibly flexible. We can adapt our service to take on projects of all sizes - from marketing strategy development through to email campaigns, from logo design to building websites. And we’re happy working either as your strategic partner, or on a project-by-project basis – so there’s no need for you to make any long-term commitment.

The Really Helpful Marketing Company continues to be managed by its founding members, Gareth Wood and Ian French.
Along with an established network of around 30 marketing professionals, from designers and developers to copywriters and strategic planners, the partners of the business use their experience and expertise to configure and manage the best team for the job at hand.
As a result you benefit from greater efficiencies and higher quality output – meaning you get much more for your money.
Gareth is a highly experienced marketer, having helped some of the biggest brands in financial services and the fundraising sector, including Aviva, Principality, Lloyds Bank, Guide Dogs and Cats Protection.
He has proven leadership skills, delivering both on and offline projects from strategic inception through to all levels of implementation. And if he hasn’t already told you about his Art Foundation qualifications, he probably will.
Ian has a wealth of strategic marketing planning experience and has helped a wide range of blue chip brands and smaller businesses to deliver differentiated and effective communications throughout a career spanning more than 20 years.
And if you’re having any trouble with insomnia, he’s more than happy to talk you through each and every one of them.
